The Wellness Panel

What does it mean to be well and how can we believe that everyone has what they need to be well, even when they are facing serious challenges to their health and well-being?  Our Wellness panel includes coaches and counsellors who work with a wide range of clients to help them discover their innate capacity to be well. As they consider the way a sense of possibility influences wellness, they will explore questions like these:

1)  What possibilities open up when we define ourselves by our wellness instead of our flaws and illnesses?

2)  What does possibility mean to someone facing illness or difficult life circumstances?

3) Are there times when a sense of possibility hurts more than it helps

The Wellness panel will be moderated by NLP Master Practitioner, Bev Hagedorn.

Speakers:

Barbara LuedeckeUsing the Enneagram and NLP to Reduce Stress and Enhance Wellness

How knowledge of the Enneagram System of Personality, (9 Types), along with NLP, can lead to effective strategies for reducing stress and enhancing wellness.

David Murphy:  Pain is not the Problem: NLP Solutions for Chronic Pain

Patients with chronic pain view their pain as the problem and this can be reinforced by the clinicians who care for them. Suffering is ignored. The futile search for a cure for the pain increases suffering . Focusing on Wellness and Hope addresses the suffering associated with chronic pain, improves functioning and, indirectly, reduces and can resolve pain

Kathleen Milligan Nothing is Possible

When we are faced with impossibilities, we often launch an active search for solutions. We believe that is the most effective route to take, but often that frantic search channels us and creates limits. We may find ourselves frustrated - seeking solutions, but getting nowhere. Kathleen will explore what it means to stay in that empty place, to face impossibilities, and to accept rather than deny them. How does accepting impossibilities, rather than fighting against them, produce change? What strengths and resources may be unleashed by 'doing nothing'?

Susan Hobson Wellness and Possibility

Diagnosed with a life-threatening illness at a very young age, Susan fought back with fierce determination, research and perseverance. She beat the odds, developed a healthy lifestyle and succeeded in achieving her biggest dreams and goals, winning a scholarship to Princeton University, playing professional hockey, and developing an active career helping others match powerful minds to strong, healthy bodies.
