A day for neurolinguistic programming experts to share how they think and what they do
Toronto – 30 August 2011 – On Saturday, September 17, 20 experts in fields from medicine to marketing will offer short, interesting presentations on how they balance truth and hope to create positive change and great results. NLP Canada Training, a Canadian leader in neurolinguistic programming (NLP) hosts the annual symposium to feature the applications of NLP in a wide range of fields. All speakers are NLP practitioners trained at NLP Canada Training.
Internet security leader, Mike Murray, will open the day with a keynote on “Scientists and Salespeople.” Mike is a partner in both MAD Security and the Hacker Academy who uses his studies in NLP and related fields to create models of excellence and predict security vulnerabilities. He is a terrific speaker who will set the tone for the day by challenging the audience to think while they are laughing.
The main part of the day will feature three panels of speakers providing a variety of perspectives on how truth and hope are best combined in getting results. The Wellness panel features heath-care and mind-care professionals who help people live with more satisfaction. The Business panel features entrepreneurs and executives with experience in managing and motivating the human elements of success. Finally, our Personal Vision panel will take participants deep and wide into the way people make choices about their lives.
Linda Ferguson will wrap up the day with a final keynote on “Telling a Bigger Story.” Linda is Senior Partner at NLP Canada Training and the host for the symposium. In her keynote, she will explore the way people tell the stories of their lives. Most people see themselves as the main character in a story that someone else is making. When they decide to take ownership of a bigger story, they create new choices and the possibility of surprising good news. They can even tell lies that tell the truth - the truth that hope inspires us to explore more, to do more, and to care more about the impact we have on everyone around us.
The HOPE Symposium runs Saturday, September 17 from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm in Room 119 at Emmanuel College (St. Charles and Avenue Road, at the Museum subway stop). Registration at the door is $80 (includes HST), and discounts are available for early registrations. Details are available by calling NLP Canada Training at 416-928-2394 or by visiting the HOPE Symposium website at www.hopesymposium.com.
